There's too much to put on my Facebook status, so here.

Katie is struggling with a sinus and chest cold and searching for a new place of employment and wrestling with fears and impatience and wishing she was in Scotland N*O*W* instead of having to wait another 11 days and catching up on several loads of laundry and looking forward to not sharing a bedroom with her little sister anymore and trying to decide what to make for dinner and missing David excruciatingly and wondering whether her bridal registry is sufficient and wishing she had a pair of nice cozy slippers and getting totally insanely excited about the fact that she is having her first bridal shower this week (squee!!!) and thinking is this really happening to me? and trying to trust God throughout every day and not studying as much as she should be and thinking every once in a while about the paper she's supposed to be writing and realizing all the things she could be doing and panicking because she doesn't know where to start and wondering if she can afford to splurge on a Riverdance performance next week and getting weary of feeling so desperately lonely sometimes.

The waiting game is killer. It's a whole different ball game, but the last month or so of school was killer each year. I would be counting down the days, staring at the clock counting down the minutes and just desperately desiring to make a mad dash out the door, never turning back. School was so terribly boring. (Especially math class, ho, ho. A solid hour of foreigners preaching an unknown language to me in monotone.) The bridal shower will probably be cool. What happened with your old job? As Pastor Tom would point out, this time will build character. Learning to patiently wait on God and His perfect time as well as doing unenjoyable monotonous things with joy, waiting ever vigilantly for that precious day when you fly out. Make sure in all your activities you are spending enough time in prayer and reading of scripture. Its very easy to forget, I know very well from experience, but it is the most important thing you can be doing right now. Concerning the riverdance, I would look at your budget, pray about, ask your parents what they think, your friend Sarah, people like that and see what they think. Have a good morning and keep it up! I hope you get better!
